Essay Prompt: Gender plays a significant role in defining relationships. Men often feel obliged to "pay" and women see " picking up the check" as a sign of masculinity. Discuss gender as it plays a large role in our behavior. Where do we see double standards? Should men have to buy women things to symbolize their masculinity? Do you agree or disagree with "splitting the check"?
