  1. One thing I learned today is where the topic sentence goes in an essay. Another thing I learned today is that you do not re-state the thesis in your conclusion paragraph. I would like to learn more about ways to write an introduction that captivates a reader. My question: Is there certain types of examples that should not be used in the body paragraphs? Should we not use personal stories as examples or does it depend on what the essay is about?

One thing i learned today is how to Write an Essay Step By Step and another is to not Repeat wht you said in the intoduction in the conclusion. i would like to learn how to hook the reader and give the reader more of a reason to want to read my paper. one question i have is where to come up with the outside info and examples to put in my writing?

  3. Today I learned what the introduction and conclusion paragraph must really need to have a great and complete academic essay, another is the writing process. One thing I want to know more about is how to start and end my essay keeping the readers interested. How do I know when I have run on sentences or fragments?

  4. Today I learned that to evaluate is to critically look at, and that there needs to be a topic sentence in each paragraph with concrete examples that help to support it. Ive always had trouble with writing my conclusions, so I would love to learn to write a more interesting and an overall better conclusion to end my essay on an good note. How can I transition correctly to my next topic on an essay?

  5. Based on today’s lesson, one thing I learned is in order to write a well-written essay, the five steps in the Writing Process are necessary. Another thing I learned is not to restate but reinforce information in the conclusion as in the introduction. One thing I would like to know more about is how to make my essay flow smoothly from one paragraph to the next. One question I’m wondering about is what I should take into consideration to keep my conclusion interesting and memorable?

  6. I learned that pre writing is essential for developing a great essay by using techniques such as free-writing and clustering. I also learned that to have a great conclusion I have to reinforce the main idea and do not include any examples in it. I would like to lean more about how to expand the length of my essay. One question I have is how can I make a great conclusion.

  7. In class I learned that it is important to pre-write and plan out every thing before you write your essay. I also learned that it is very important to proof read many times before handing in an essay. I would like to learn more on how to create a good introductory paragraph and a conclusion. One question I have is how to create your thesis correctly.

  8. In class today I learned numerous things but to mention just two of them, I learned that the first step in writing an academic essay is to pre-write. Another thing that I learned was to proofread before handing anything in. What I would really like to learn is how to write a well developed conclusion paragraph. And one question I have is how do you transition into different body paragraphs.

  9. In class I learned the five steps to write a good essay. Also I learned in your intro you need to have a solid pull in sentence which makes the reader want to continue reading your essay. From this class I would like to learn how to organize my writing more because I know that I often repeat myself and put things in spots when they really belong somewhere else.
